Today Villa Russo is Queens’ premier event venue for Weddings, Sweet Sixteens, and other special events. With humble beginnings more than 65 years ago, Villa Russo began when two sons of Italian immigrants opened Russo’s Pizzeria on 101 Avenue in the Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens, NY.

 

Family Owned & Operated

Through dedication, hard work, and attention to detail, the Russo Family expanded their small neighborhood pizzeria to a full-service restaurant, gaining a reputation for producing the highest quality Italian cuisine in Queens, New York. As the requests for their unique recipes poured in and their loyal following grew, the brothers began to cater food for their clients’ special events, including weddings, birthdays, holiday events, and more.

In 1975, the Russo Family officially entered the catering business by building a banquet hall adjacent to their existing restaurant and named it Villa Russo. Villa Russo held its first wedding reception in 1977 and the Russo brothers, Frank and Joseph, discovered that their true passion was catering to the special occasions in the lives of their patrons. Shortly, they became known as the best catering hall in Queens, New York.

Over the years since Villa Russo was founded, countless families have celebrated Weddings, Engagements, Christenings, Sweet Sixteens, birthdays, and other milestone events at the Villa Russo Catering Hall, making it one of New York City’s most enduring and successful banquet venues.

Our second-generation operator and owner, George Russo, is proud to build upon the values and ideals of his father and uncle as he continues their commitment to excellence in the service of our patrons.
